While tap water is safe to drink, it can contain impurities that affect its quality. Temporary water hardness, chlorine, lead, aluminum, lindane (a pesticide) and other impurities are k now to alter the taste and appearance of water, which in turn, may affect food and drink.
The qualities of Brita water filter are its simplicity, the convenience and economy in effectively reducing impurities and improving the quality of tap water. The result is clearer, cleaner water that is ideal for hot and cold drinks and cooking.

There are other reasons why BRITA has been among the leading experts in the field of water optimization. It's a family business that was founded in 1966 and has become two global companies which manufacture water filtration products for household and professional applications.
Brita filtration systems reduce chlorine (taste and odor). Brita filters also keep a healthy level of fluoride, a water additive that promotes strong teeth.
Most studies show that exposure to lead-contaminated water alone is not likely to elevate blood lead levels in most adults. But officials say children are particularly susceptible because their growing bodies more readily absorb lead and that lead poisoning can cause learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and, at very high levels, seizures, coma, and even death. For this reason, pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under the age of six should take every precaution to avoid lead exposure. Brita water filters can provide that.
